The European Network of Political Foundations (ENOP), set up in 2006, is an informal network for cooperation of the actors in the field of democratic transition, international developmental cooperation, and political dialogue that fulfills a communicative role among the European political foundations and institutions. Beyond this, it provides information and assistance for promoting the participation in European Union programs for its members. Currently the network has 40 members from 20 countries. The member organizations are linked to the five big European political families, but they are independent institutions.
